Hey! It´s me, Jenda

My name is Jan Fiala (call me Jenda), 30 year-old guy based in Brno, and I´ve decided to share with you my countless memories, experiences & opportunities that I´ve encountered along the way.

ABOUT ME

However, and most importantly, I´d like to share with you the ways how get to those opportunities and possibilites!

Why do I share all of this with you at all?

By sharing my experiences I simply want to inspire people (not only) to travel and seize the various opportunities available to them they might not know about! Through these pages, my aim is to ignite a passion for exploration, encouraging individuals to embrace the diverse array of experiences & possibilities that come their way.

From my own experience, utilizing these opportunities truly enriches, propels, and broadens one's perspectives. It's not just about experiences, though, it's a mental enrichment process., that gives you a gateway to new cultures, perspectives, and personal growth.

I'm hoping to spark that curiosity and sense of adventure, getting you to break out of your comfort zone

Make the most of what life throws at you!

Before diving into my background, it´s worth mentioning, that my personality has played the biggest role in all of this. As an extroverted and ambitious person, I have consistently shown an interest in new things, always eager to learn, discover, explore and take advantage of various opportunities (EU projects, volunteering, workshops, study programs abroad, internships, conferences, multiple competitions, researches, student clubs).

What helped me the most?

Well, it opens up many new doors - you meet new interesting people, constantly learn new things and, above all, it keeps you on top of things and you gather experiences. You never know when or where you can use the particular experience, whether the opportunity will ever come again, who you will meet and where it will take you.

Big plus has always been the joy of being around people and having social interactions, meeting new individuals, and effortlessly adapting to novel environments. Additionally, I possess a keen interest in exploring new places, cultures, backgrounds, and exhibiting an inherent curiosity about a broad spectrum of subjects such as science, sports, culture, and traveling.

Having all these personal traits, it´s then enough to look around and look for the opportunities that suit!

Why am I even doing this or what for?

My life in a nutshell

As I missed the regular contact with the international environment after I came back to CZE, I decided to start organizing Language Exchanges once a month. Also, I could finally use more time for my hobbies. Especially sports and being in the nature. Although Covid-19 stopped everyhing for some while, I took that period as an opportunity to start something new. Someting I´ve dreamed of. - playing paino and painting. Since then I somehow unlocked the art part of my and found a joy in attending cultural occastions (concert of classical music, theathres, galleries). From time to time I host travel-talks for public, where I share my travel experiences from all over the world. And my latest achieved goal is finishing my pedagogy studies, co I can teach in grammar schools

My life gained momentum in my first year at the Faculty of Business and Economics in Brno, when I found out about the Erasmus study program that allows students to apply for a grant and study in many european countries. It didn't take long and I was sitting in an airplane heading to my first bigger life challenge, in Girona, Spain. Since then, my life has been divided into pre- and post-Erasmus part.

Before finishing my Bachelor's degree I started focusing also on my professional level. I found an internship in Germany, in the international marketing department at the headquarters of Henkel, in Düsseldorf. Back then, it was my first big professional experience in such an international company. It helped me gain and acquire many soft-skills, improved two foreign languages, and met a lot of ambitious and talented people (contacts are very useful). But most importantly, I managed to find and carry out everything on my own, which I perceive now as a big plus.

Besides, I often took part in scientific conferences, where I presented the results of my research work, then in marketing workshops, competitions and above all I have found popularity and motivation in international projects from the EU. In total I participated in three - in Romania, Sweden and Portugal.

In my Master´s degree I wanted to travel and study outside Europe and experience totally new culture and lifestyle. So I took an unique advantage of my university's bilateral and travelled to South Korea to study there for 6 months. Besides all those unforgettale memories, I managed to visit a paradise on Earth - untouched Saipan island in the Pacific Ocean (the most beautiful place I´ve visited so far).

After finishing my studies in South Korea, I set out to face my greatest travel challenge of my life. I traveled through 7 South East 7 countries within 30 days with only 7 kg backpack. To this day I´ve beeing giving public travel-lectures about it. I try to inspire people, give travel tips, pass on the experience and convey all the travel experiences.

I then spent the end of my studies in Germany, where I studied a Double-degree program at the University of Deggendorf

Right after I started an internship at BMW HQ in Munich.

After the end of my internship and studies, I took a few months off. I traveled around the Balkans (Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia) and the Czech Republic and slowly prepared myself to look for a job.

So, let´s have a look together, where you can get inspiration or some tips
