I thought that graduating from two universities, conducting scientific researches, taking part in projects and doing internships will be enough during my studies. Surprise surprise. One year after my graduation I decided to begin with another field. Long story short, I started studying pedagogy! Why? Well, firstly, I like passing on the knowledge. I also like working with children, passing on the experience I´ve gathered along my way. Moreover, I´d like to give our school system back what I´ve gained from it (no kidding!)
For being able to teach in grammar school for example, you must complete, at least, so called "pedagogical mininum" I had, indeed, a hard time finishing the pedagogy. Two reasons for that. I studied during Covid pandemic, so we had mostly online classes. Secondly, and most importantly, most of the subjects were totally abstract and uninstresting to be honest, very necessary though. As you might know, I´m rather analytical, racional person. However, we were learning about children´s psychology, didactics, pedagogical diagnostics, general pedagogy etc. That was a massive pain for me to go through hundrets and hundrets pages of these subjects. The most interesting was the practise. We had to teach certain amount of hours at grammar school. I chose the one I studied in and it was so great! I was teaching Economics and totally loved the interactions with students and their views, I could try different teaching methods. It ensured me that I want to continue in teaching. Definitely not a full-time job right now, but I can imagine few hours a week!
However, the message here is pursue your wishes and goals asap. I knew that studying at 35 years of age, when I might have a family, lower motivation, less free time or whatever, won´t be as easy as shortly after graudation, when the brain has still some capacity :D
