Internships abroad

If you´re not disinterested in your future and care about your employment chances after your graduation, you might start looking at some internships already during your studies. There are many programs either in the Czech Republic or abroad. I´d highly recommend to try the ones outside your country, from many reasons - language skills, self-reliance, independence, new people/friends, new environment, new work methods and approaches...

How to start?

Well, you should firstly know your dream company or at least the field of your interest. The more specific, the better. When you´re aware of what you´re looking for, then it´s easy! Make a list of companies you´d like to do an internship in. Then go on their website and look for vaccancies/jobs/internihips. You find it most likely in the menu of the company´s websites under "careers". You see the specific job requirements, time duration and, if it is multinational organisation, also open positions in different countries. Once you´re decided, you apply for the position and start preparing for the interview.

Hint, when you´re a student, you can try to use the Erasmus program for internship and get paid some additional money!

I used Erasmus internship twice, both in Germany since I wanted to also get better at german language. The first time was during my Bachelor degree in the Henkel HQ in Düsseldorf. The second was at the end of my Master degree. I fulfilled my dream and worked for BMW HQ in Munich.
